Libby Dam invited the Canadians to Troy for the International Campout They have since 1987 worked with chapters (Canal Flats B.C., Picher Creek Alberta) from Canada on Hands Across the Border mini rally.On August 4 they hosted the group at Troy, MT It has been a great tradition to have many games with prizes awarded to the winners. They had a banquet in the gazebo on the edge of the Kootenai River. Any money raised is given to local organizations. This year the Troy Senior Citizens and the Troy School received the donations. Libby Dam Good Sam also holds an annual picnic at Firemans Park in Libby for the Achievements Organization. That group works with mentally challenged individuals. Over the years that the chapter has sponsored this picnic they have made many good friends who look forward to this annual event. The picnic features Hot Dogs, chips and ice cream. Bean Bag Games and Baseball are available. Everyone comes away with a badge or certificate. This year there were 37 Achievers.
